I’ve grown increasingly weary of the black cloud that is Ghostbusters 3.  I’ve long been in the camp that really doesn’t want to see the further adventures of New York City’s most famous paranormal investigators.

Coming Soon is reporting that Ghostbusters 3 is targeted to ramp up production in the summer of 2013, aiming for a 2014 release.  And apparently this new movie will be a passing of the torch as Dan Akyroyd has previously stated that:

“My character, Ray, is now blind in one eye and can’t drive the cadillac,” he said, “He’s got a bad knee and can’t carry the packs… Egon is too large to get into the harness. We need young blood and that’s the promise. We’re gonna hand it to a new generation.”

 

Please…  Just… Stop…Of all the bad ideas that Hollywood has, this could be the absolute worst.
