It’s a scorching 96 degrees in Philadelphia this afternoon, and the humidity isn’t helping either. Grab a creamsicle and click through the wonders I have collected for you below:

It’s Okay Guys, She’s 18

By Jon, November 15, 2007 12:37 pm

Even though Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere recently turned 18, I still feel a little guilty oggling her. It wasn’t too long ago that she was that spunky little kid from Remember The Titans. Ohs well … I think I’m over it. Egotastic has Hayden channeling her 50’s pinup in a photo shoot for the this month’s Vanity Fair. I don’t know what Vanity Fair is or why they would have pictures like this in it … but I’m digging them.

There’s a few more after the jump, but for the whole bunch head back over to the source … the always great Egotastic. Typically I ask whether or now would you hit it .. but as I am aware that some of my readership are upstanding citizens I wouldn’t want them stuck at a moral dilemma.

Heroes Is Tremendously Underwhelming

By Jon, October 18, 2007 9:55 am

I’ve been a Heroes-hater since the early episodes of last season. I found the characters (with the exception of Hiro) to be flat and poorly developed. And despite the show’s title, there was nothing ever “heroic” being done. The uber-villian, Sylar is the most non threatening baddie in ANY medium. I hope that Zachary Quinto doesn’t suck it up as Spock. Despite the fact that I’m hating on this show, I do watch it each week with the hope that we’ll see some superhero badassery.

My hopes were again dashed this week as the only awesome thing was when that girl did the Rey Mysterio 619 on that thug; and even then that looked horribly fake. Even though Heroes has it’s vast shortcomings, it does has a good amount of eye candy with Ali Larter and Hayden Panettiere … and next week Kristin Bell joins the cast.

I Really Don’t Like Heroes

By Jon, February 7, 2007 2:39 pm

I watched the first half of the premiere season of Heroes and I really wanted to like it. Week after week I watched (time shifted due to TiVo) desperately hoping that this show would stop feeding off of the long standing superhero cliches that been around since Lee & Kirby introduced us to the Fantastic Four. This show got real tired, real quick. Each week features a .. dun dun dun … ending that (hopefully) reels viewers in for the next installment. Heroes Is TEH SUCK

I never really found any of the characters to be compelling, or interesting for that matter. I think the reason that this is so “popular” and lauded as the best show since LOST is that this concept is actually new to the general masses. The average viewer is stupefied about how Clare can be indestructible (Luke Cage), or how Matt Parkman can read minds (Professor Xavier) or maybe even how Peter Petrelli can absorb other people’s powers for his own use (Rogue, Absorbing Man). Full of cliches, and I don’t like it. Maybe I’ve finally become what I have always feared … a fanboy. Regardless of how I feel, this show continues to garner steam and praise from …. whoever. George Takei has guest starred, and now they are reporting that the man himself, Stan Lee will have a cameo in a coming episode. I much more content watching Star Trek: Enterprise reruns on SciFi Monday nights from 7:00pm-11:00pm. Heroes is teh suck.

The only redeeming factor of Heroes, as I have stated before … is Ali Larter’s ass.

The Only Reason To Watch Heroes

By Jon, October 17, 2006 3:05 pm

I’ve been giving Heroes an honest try, heck I’ve even given it a Season Pass on my TiVo. I find the story to be a watered down version of X Men. Each week there’s a cliffhanger, and I just think they are trying too hard. Regardless, I still watch it every week hoping for something spectacular, they’ve got me hooked. However, there is one recurring motif that I am a big fan of … Ali Larter’s ass.

Oh and Hayden Panettiere isn’t too bad either, however it makes me feel kinda creepy because she was the coach’s daughter in Remember The Titans.

Hayden es bueno
