Megan Fox Has Been Cast in The New TMNT Movie, Because Why Not?

For many Interweb denizens, Michael Bay is The Ruiner of Childhoods and Destroyer of Nostalgia due in part to his role in the live-action Transformers movies.  It’s been well known that Bay’s production company Platinum Dunes has been working on a revamp of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.   His Bayness took to Twitter yesterday to announce they actress Megan Fox had joined the production in an unspecified role.

Yes, the very same Megan Fox that Bay kicked out of the third Transformers movie is back in another fanboy friendly franchise.  Apparently whatever animosity that existed between the two is no long an issue, and Fox will bring her singular talents (her ability to run fast in tight pants while in high heels) to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which is slated for a 2014 release.

Speculation is rampant that Fox will be playing none other than April O’Neil, which fanboys and neckbeards are already arguing about extensively.  I’ll hold out until I see something of substance.

Transformers fans remember (often with great ire) Wheelie, the juvenile prose speaking Autobot first encountered in Transformers: The Movie way back in 1986. He was small orange and quite frankly kind of annoying. Evidence of which can be seen below:

Now, in this exclusive clip from His Bayness’ blog we encounter the ‘new’ Wheelie. He remains diminutive in size, but has an obnoxious New York accent. Seriously? As ridiculous as the scene may be, it Megan Fox in a tight shirt and cut off really help keep it afloat.

Megan Fox & Shia Labeouf are back together on the set of Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen, the first time since The Labeouf’s unfortunate vehicular accident a couple of weeks back. From the picture below, it appears as though His Bayness is giving expert direction to Ms. Fox, “lift and separate”.

That Transformer-ness is reaching a fever pitch. I dug up two clips for your viewing pleasure. This first clip comes from the Tonight Show, hence the laugh track. You’ll get to see some zany Autobot antics in Sam’s (Shia LaBeouf) backyard. What strikes me is how fluid the robots look, I wonder if any of that was motion captured?

Next clip is from the CBS Early show which features Sam again & Mikaela (Megan Fox) discussing her chronic relationship issues.

In both scenes you can’t deny Shia LaBeouf’s comedic timing. I will admit that I used to tune into Even Stevens. My brother picked up our tickets, we’re all set for an 8:00pm showing on 7/2/07 at UA Oxford Valley. I’ll be the guy with the ridiculous Optimus Prime tuxedo-style shirt. See yins there.

Here she is from here appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live plugging Transformers (I will refrain from inserting an off color remark at this juncture). Her hawtness knows no bounds. I love how Jimmy & Seth Rogen instantly become awkward around her.

Remember Transformers premieres on 7.4.7 …. but really on 7.3.7, but there will be some 8:00pm shows on 7.2.7. Good thing I didn’t pay for that movie one sheet hanging in my room.
